The United States District Court for the District of New Jersey has instituted procedures for handling after-hours emergent matters. Any person having an emergent matter, after regular business hours, should proceed as follows:

• Call phone number : 1-833-857-6682; after the beep, leave a message including your name, phone number you can be reached, and brief description of matter. If you have a pending case, please leave the case number and/or case name.

Information concerning the handling of emergent matters, during regular business hours, can be obtained by calling the main phone number of each Clerk's Office:

In the event of an ECF "Technical Failure" as described in the ECF Policies and Procedures, filings are accepted at ecfhelp@njd.uscourts.gov or by facsimile to Camden (856)  757-5399 , Trenton (609) 989-2080 or Newark (973) 645-6659.
