June 29, 2017 - Invitation to Precision Advocacy: Reinventing Motion Practice to Win

You are cordially invited to the Newark session of this national series put on by the American Bar Association, which addresses how to promote efficiency and improve the chances for success in motion practice. The program features two panel discussions, each including local district judges, magistrate judges, and plaintiffs' and defense counsel, discussing problems with current motion practice, and offering new, better, and cutting edge approaches for resolving interlocutory disputes. 

 

U.S. District Judge Jeremy Fogel, Director of the Federal Judicial Center and U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, will moderate both panels of the Newark program, featuring Chief Judge Jose L. Linares, former Chief Judge Jerome B. Simandle, Magistrate Judges Lois H. Goodman and Leda Dunn Wettre. The attorneys on the panel will include Sharon A. King, Kerri Chewning, Peter S. Pearlman and Jeffrey J. Greenbaum. The program chair is Jeffrey J. Greenbaum.
