Emergent Matters

The United States District Court for the District of New Jersey has instituted procedures for handling emergent matters after normal business hours. Any person having an emergent matter should proceed as follows:

  • Call phone number : 1-888-803-2474

The Court:

  • will exercise flexibility when lawyers seek extensions or continuances to protect client's interests.
  • may issue Court Orders and post them.
  • staff will assist attorneys who have no access to court calendars.

Provide name and phone number where caller can be contacted.
